IOANA OCNARESCU

Ioana Ocnarescu is the Director of Research at Strate School of Design, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of five researchers (PhDs in design, neuroscience and humanities) in an active and engaged research. As a teacher-researcher, Ioana promotes design research for design students, teaches courses on experience design, design and robotics. She co-directs several PhD projects and is responsible for "Robotics by Design Lab - AI, Robots & Humans - ecologies of living together". Before Strate, Ioana studied applied mathematics at École Polytechnique and did a PhD in design in the User Experience team of Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs France in collaboration with Strate and the Laboratoire de Conception de Produits et Innovation of Arts et Métiers ParisTech.

Research themes: research management, multidisciplinary research, simulation by design, living labs, in-vivo and in-situ experimentation, low-tech prototyping, experience design.
